About the Clinic

Welcome to Akeso Lipedema Clinic!

My name is Sarah Cullen, and I am a nurse practitioner living and working in Virginia. My life has drastically been shaped by lipedema, a progressive condition I was diagnosed with in my 20s. Finally, I had a name for was affecting my body and my life. For years, I struggled to find knowledgeable providers who could help me diagnose and manage this disease. This challenge motivated me to open my own clinic, dedicated to helping women like me. 

At Akeso Lipedema Clinic, we understand the physical and emotional toll that lipedema can take.  We are dedicated to creating a safe and welcoming environment for our patients. With a focus on education, we empower women to take control of their health and well-being. We offer diagnosis support and personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's needs. Our goal is to help you navigate this journey with confidence and grace.
